lemongrass rice
put a new fresh taste into your everyday rice cooking!
ingredients:
2 tsp lemongrass
1 cup of rice (jasmine rice if you have it)
1.5 cups of boiled water
directions:
steep the lemongrass for 5-10 minutes
if you have a rice steamer in your household then just follow the directions for making regular rice. replace the water with the steeped lemongrass infusion. if you have some left over, keep it warm for dinner, the rice will go great with some lemongrass tea!
for pot cooking:
follow the directions you get from your rice package, just substitute the lemongrass tea for the water.
don't forget that rice is always tastier with a bit of butter!
