information
this is the official tea of thanksgiving and all good things autumn has to offer!  if you love the sweet tart character of cranberry, and the crunchy flavor of fresh apples you’re going to love this tea - it’s as simple as that! this incredible tisane has been blended using only the finest organic ingredients could be found, all of which have been certified by Lacon Gmbh Germany, one of the foremost organic certifying bodies in the world.  the results are nothing short of extraordinary.  but don’t just take our word for it – just like a crisp fall morning, this tea needs to be enjoyed in person.

first, open the tin and take in the wonderful fruit mélange that hits the nose.  you’ll notice a healthy mix of dried apple pieces, hibiscus petals, rosehip pieces, and all natural cranberry flavoring. bring some water to the boil and pour.  again, savor the incredible aromas that waft up from your teapot, reminiscent of fresh apples in the fall and freshly plucked cranberries.  next, strain and pour into your favorite cup.  now comes the good part.  take your first sip and note how this fabulous elixir tickles the tongue with tart notes of fruit, a sweet astringency and a light floral finish.  mmmmm.  writing this is making my mouth water.  so, uhm, i ’m going to have to go brew myself another pot!

…that’s it.

…stop reading and go brew some yourself!

hot brewing
bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. place 1 teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. pour the boiling water into the teapot. cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the tea). even though milk and a dash of sugar help enhance the flavor character of this tea, it is perfectly acceptable to consume this tea ‘straight-up’

ice brewing
(to make 1 liter/quart):  place 12-15 teaspoons of tea into a teapot or heat resistant pitcher. pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. steep for 5 minutes. quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. pour the tea into your serving pitcher straining the leaves. add ice and top-up the pitcher with cold water. garnish and sweeten to taste. (a rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water). please note that this tea may tend to go cloudy or ‘milky’ when poured over ice; a perfectly normal characteristic of some high quality black teas and nothing to worry about!
